Munich, November 28th 2016: International kids-and-family channel Fix&Foxi won the Eutelsat TV Awards 2016 in the Children’s Category
After winning the Hot BirdTM TV Awards in 2010, and receiving no less than five nominations, Your Family Entertainment is honoured yet again with the prestigious Eutelsat TV-Award, against strong competiton from children’s channels Nickelodeon (Germany) and RTL Kockica (Croatia).
Announced on November 25th at the Gala ceremony, The Night of Satellites, in the impressive setting of the Palazzo del Ghiaccio in Milan, we have the prizewinner for Best Children ́s Channel. Fix&Foxi, the world’s first channel named after well-known comic heroes, owes this success to a high standard of creativity and quality on a national and international level.
Diversity, imagination, courage, originality and exceptional quality – these are some of the qualities characterising the channels shortlisted by an international jury for the prestigious Eutelsat TV Award in 8 categories. The Eutelsat TV Awards jury, chaired by award-winning RAI journalist Duilio Giammaria and bringing together media experts from diverse markets, assessed the quality and innovation of a record number of outstanding entries, submitted by 120 participants from 40 nations.
Fix&Foxi, celebrated with a dedicated exhibition in Hanover’s renowned Wilhelm Busch – Deutsches Museum für Karikatur & Zeichenkunst, boasts an extremely strong heritage that is loved by children and evokes powerful and positive memories in adults. Those popular characters Fix&Foxi and Family (Grandma Eusebia, Lupo, Lupini, Professor Knox and Family Peppercorn) provide a guarantee of quality entertainment, offering educational fun while encouraging family cohesion, imagination and cultural diversity.
Laurence Robinet, Chief Broadcast Officer of Your Family Entertainment, is thrilled by this outstanding distinction: "From the bottom of my heart, I would like to thank the jury members for their trust in Fix&Foxi – this beautiful trophy is such a motivation for us to further develop our Fix&Foxi Channel with great love and creativity, never losing sight of what’s most important: maintaining the eternal magic of good storytelling! As Khalil Gibran describes so poetically: “The things which the child loves remain in the domain of the heart until old age. The most beautiful thing in life is that our souls remain over the places where we once enjoyed ourselves” What a responsibility this means to us, and how nice it feels with Fix&Foxi to put a smile on a child ́s face!”
